<p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in a variety of Traffic Engineering Tasks.</li>
<li>Study tasks include: Signal Warrants, Traffic Impact Studies, Signal Timing, Intersection Capacity/Level of Service Analysis and writing reports for these tasks.</li>
<li>Design tasks include: Signal Design, Signing and Pavement Markings, Illumination, ITS, Traffic Control Plans, and the preparation of PS&amp;E for these tasks.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with all applicable AASHTO, TMUTCD, TxDOT local County and municipal criteria as it relates to Traffic Engineering.</li>
<li>Experience in MicroStation, Synchro, SignCAD, AGI 32 (Lighting), and Microsoft applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc</li>
<li>Professional demeanor, reliability and desirable verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>I.T./P.E. certification as appropriate.</li>
<li>TEDSI may be willing to sponsor a foreign applicant for worker’s VISA (H1-B) and Permanent Resident Card.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p>

<li>BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University.</li>

In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality roadway designs for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), as well as executing civil engineering tasks for local municipalities in South Texas and across the state.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="4"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;"><b data-path-to-node="4" data-index-in-node="0">Key Responsibilities</b></span></p>
<ul>
<li data-path-to-node="5,0,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Develop detailed roadway designs, 3D models, and construction layouts utilizing Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="5,1,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&amp;E) and schematic designs for various TxDOT transportation projects.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="5,2,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Produce civil design plans for municipal projects, including street reconstruction, drainage, and utility improvements.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="5,3,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Ensure all design work strictly complies with TxDOT manuals, standard specifications, and local city design criteria.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="5,4,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Coordinate with project managers, CAD technicians, and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-path-to-node="7,0,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="7,1,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="7,2,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Proven, hands-on experience using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) in a production environment.</span></li>
<li data-path-to-node="7,3,0"><span style="font-family: Marcellus, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of TxDOT design standards and standard municipal engineering practices.</span></li>
